It's possible to switch between languages just by pressing: Shift is not needed. If pressed once, it will switch the keyboard to the previously used language. Otherwise, it will bring you again to the previously used language. When combined with Shift, it will move in the list in the reverse order.

This should most definitely be the answer. But there's a problem not your fault. If the user switches the keyboard to another language, the keyboard language continues to be reported, wrongly, as the tim language.
